How Was Your Day?

Thursday morning one of my closest friends died from the effects of his Chemo treatment for Acute Myloid Leukemia. Today on the way over to their house, a tanker truck hit eight cars on the Interstate as they were stopped for road construction. One of those cars was mine. The good news is that when I got home, my condo had not burned down and killed my cat!!

"ROMMEL DRIVES ON DEEP INTO EGYPT"
—San Francisco Chronicle headline
June 26, 1942

"Rommel is dead.
His army has joined the quicksand legions
of history where the battle is always
a metal echo saluting a rusty shadow.
His tanks are gone.
How's your ass?"

Richard Brautigan

Believe it or not, my day was okay. It ciould have been a whole lot better, but it could have been a whole S.L. worse!

KC and I are going to take another trip on the MTA Thursday. I hope to get enough images to fill my June Slideshow at The Nashville Photography Club.

Nashville RollerGirls...

My friend KC and I went to see the Nashville RollerGirls tonight, oops, last night. We had a blast! I saw my old friend Rachel Barbutes who used to be a Nashville RollerGirl, but is now a Bowling Green RollerGirl. It was truly an event, the only problem being that we bought our tickets from Ticketmaster. Leave it to Ticketmaster to turn two $10.00 tickets into $45.00. Whatever our State Legislature does, they sure dion't need to pass any bills that will benefit those Ticket-------!!

Portrait...

Here's a portrait of me taken by my friend Bob Berg. It's the first picture of me in twenty years that I'm OK with.
